The team are in the process of rebuilding an old Pashley Ice-cream seller's tricycle for a client in Tunbridge Wells. They will be repairing any damaged parts, making new wheels and fabricating missing parts. The rebuild will take a couple of weeks but the workshop will still be open for new custom, so don't be frightened of coming along!

The RWK Bicycles team will be down in Southampton from Wednesday. If you are in the area - give us an email and we will help you with your cycling woes!
We will also be out and about having the odd cycle - so feel free to join in! RWK Bicycles will be organising a bicycle show at the Capel Fète on 2nd July. The team will be supporting the FOG Hoppers, who will be join the traditional procession from Capel school to the Recreation Ground in Five Oak Green.
There will be a open bicycle show, where people can bring their bicycles. There will be rosettes for the best mountain, road, hybrid and odd bicycle as well as rosettes for the best dressed child's bike. As well as the bicycle show, RWK Bicycles will have a stand, showing off some recent projects, wheels and wares. The team will also be doing minor repairs and services on site, at a discounted rate. The procession is at 12:30 and the fète proper starts at 1 pm. See you all there! Have a look at or buy our first wheelst on ebay here! If you want something similar, then please feel free to contact us through alaric@rwkbicycles.com.
The workshop is nearly finished - the list of jobs is getting a lot shorter. The roof still needs cladding, another set of lights needs to be put in and one more storage needs to be added, then it is just down to the cleaning up!
We are still open for business, so you can come along and see the progress. We have just taken delivery of a 1982 Hercules Commute. It needs a bit of work - if you are interested in 1980's utility bikes, then this is a classic. We will be cleaning it up and putting it up for sale soon. Royal West Kent Bicycles will be sponsoring finswimmers from the Five Oak Green Hoppers Sports Club at the British Finswimming Association National Short Course Championships. The event will take place at the Edenbridge pool on 2nd April 2011. The FOG Hoppers have won a large number of medals at the event since 2001 (when the club first formarly took part) and holds a large number of British records, as well as a few Commonwealth records.
RWK Bicycles will be supporting most of the FOG Hoppers sports throughout the year. Their website can be found here. RWk Bicyckes would like to send their best wishes to the peoples of Japan. We hope that all of our sports friends are well.
Terry, our friendly electrician has visited, so all of the plugs and lights now work.
In addition, two more sets of display boards have been installed. Soon, another two work benches will be put in. An area will be put aside for wheel building. There is a lot of tidying up to do and a few more things need to be installed. However, soon the workshop will be open for action. We will let you know as soon as it has all be done! The two huge bike stands have been installed, one in the workshop and another external, secured stand.
The workshop upgrade is entering the final stretch. The company's friendly electrician is coming round tomorrow to install the last power sockets and the two new spotlights. A lot of work has been going on to finish off the new doors and increase the ammount of storage. We are going to paint the doors yellow as the old doors were a bit of a landmark in the village. We can now offer Mavic products through Walkers. Mavic are a world renown wheel rite and rim manufacturer from France. Their yellow neutral support cars are feature of the Tour de France. Their wheels and rims are known through out cycling for their innovation and build quality. Have a look at www.walkerscycles.co.uk - remember that you can order any item through us.
