We received our first Espresso rims! They are super cool & robust. I have put a photo up on our facebook page but will put a better one up soon. In addition, Gregg's Starwar's Stormtrooper themed bike is nearly read to be seen in public. Photos of that soon as well.

During a short trip to Herne Bay, we picked up this beautiful 1934 New Hudson double-stem tandem. We are going to paint it in company colours and make it look stunning. Hopefully, we might have it ready for the Capel Fete!
RWK Bicycles will have a stand at the Capel Primary School May Fayre on Saturday (5th May 2012). The Fayre is between 11 am and 2 pm. There will be stalls showing off local sports clubs, activities groups, charities and companies. There will also be a raffle, BBQ, tomola, go carting, bouncy castle, games and a sports day! Refreshments will be provided by the local WI (so will be excellent).
The annual Capel Fète will be on 7th July. Last year the FOG Hoppers and RWK Bicycles got together & joined in with the procession as well as have a stand on the Recreation Ground - including prizes for the best bikes in several catagories. Why not come and join in? There is a Facebook event set up (click here) and more news will be put up on this page. It is a fun day with lots of activities, rides, bars, cake stalls and exhibits.  For those that are interested, Alaric Smith (the main person in RWK Bicycles) is now on Pinterest. Have a look at http://pinterest.com/alaricsmith/. There are lots of photo-links to very cool bicycles and other stuff.
Happy post Easter! Now back to work and start to burn off all the chocolate. We received a commision to build a bike suitable for a teenager to rough it and still look good. So, a suitable frame was found and the RWK elves got to work. The result is shown below. There is room for him to grow and we can always increase the spec'. RWK's facebook page includes some new thoughts, including an idea on road safety. Follow us here! The post Easter contemplations will continue - perhaps even with the start of the RWK Cup(s), at Capel Gym, for the fastest 10 miler on an excercise bike. All the best everyone!  Have a great Easter! Eat lots of chocolate and burn it off on a nice ride around the countryside! Have fun and stay safe! I am sure that James & friends at Pop Creative Food will be creating some sumptious easter eggs; Penny, Ann and others will be looking for the first signs of spring at Trebler's Ponies and Jenny, Sarah, Jake and the rest will be burning off those calories at Capel Gym!
