The Capel Fete is nearly upon us! There is a lot of news on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/rwkbicycles/events) and the programme can be downloaded from here:
Betty Bicycle has joined the team! She is our entry in to Capel's annual Scare Crow Competition.
Two years ago we did a sub-aqua diver, last year the Scary Crow; this year's entry is named after a fameous female cyclist - can you name her?
Great news - we are in the middle of the procession! Make sure you are there! Silly costumes, lycra and silly bikes welcome!
For those who want to take part in the parade - please be at the farm opposite Capel Primary School by 12 midday! We have produced some flyers for the event! Bring the kids for the Bicycle Gymkhana and have a go on the Tandem of Doom!
Breaking News!!!! Capel Fete Committee have accepted the request to have a cycling comp on the Rec! There will be a cycling skills test & prizes! There will be a slalom and "ball pick up", as well as many other challanges!
Just a reminder: Everyone is out of the workshop for the 2012 Hop Garden Festival for the entire weekend (29 th June to 1st July). Why not join us? Tickets are still available.
If you are going and see any of us wandering around, come and say hello! Lots of people are going from Five Oak Green, so it is just an extension of the Capel Fete!
RWK Bicycles will have a stand at the Capel Primary School May Fayre on Saturday (5th May 2012). The Fayre is between 11 am and 2 pm. There will be stalls showing off local sports clubs, activities groups, charities and companies. There will also be a raffle, BBQ, tomola, go carting, bouncy castle, games and a sports day! Refreshments will be provided by the local WI (so will be excellent).
RWK Bicycles will be organising a bicycle show at the Capel Fète on 2nd July. The team will be supporting the FOG Hoppers, who will be join the traditional procession from Capel school to the Recreation Ground in Five Oak Green.
There will be a open bicycle show, where people can bring their bicycles. There will be rosettes for the best mountain, road, hybrid and odd bicycle as well as rosettes for the best dressed child's bike.
As well as the bicycle show, RWK Bicycles will have a stand, showing off some recent projects, wheels and wares. The team will also be doing minor repairs and services on site, at a discounted rate.
The procession is at 12:30 and the fète proper starts at 1 pm. See you all there!
